The Rebel’s Guide to Joy

The statistics say that the North American church is lacking men. Mars Hill Church in Seattle continues to pump up the testosterone with ‘A Rebel’s Guide to Joy’. I admire Mars Hill for their ability to preach books by books through the Bible, yet maintain a high caliber of design. Beauty is one of their four core values, and it shows.
This series in particular matches what we’re trying to do. Use design to focus and explain the point of the preaching- because after all- everything preaches.
What I admire most.
At the beginning of a sermon a camera pans down through a cg prison to show a man, presumably Paul, with his hands in the air in a look of prayerful desperation. Without a word from the pastor, the context of the sermon is set. People see the emotion of Paul, and will remember for years to come that Philippians was written from a prison cell.
