Creation v. Evolution
Get on your cups on, there is about to be a battle. The internet is just beginning to reach a bubble about creationism, and Ben Stein has a new movie, Expelled, coming out. Ben will argue that Evolution isn’t as solid as some would like to believe, and Christians will jump on the bandwagon with hoots and hollers. I’m not going to take either side on this (note: I clarified this a bit in the comments), but I will say that the triune omniscient God created the earth and all it’s life (watch this sermon by Mark Driscoll for a well rounded Biblical discussion).
This video is from Expelled (from Dustin -> Bob Hyatt)
I think it’s important to only talk with authority about things you know. If you can point to it in the Bible, and say the Bible says ____________, then you have the ultimate authority of the Word of God, please tell the world about it.
This is a subject that all Christians should learn a ton about, it’s one of the biggest stumbling blocks in the way of the average Americans.

“I’m not going to take either side on this, but I will say that the triune omniscient God created the earth and all it’s life” Im hoping your being sarcastic, you just took a side.
I guess what I’m saying it this. I can understand why many people have a problem with “creation science”, I think the authority that has me believe in the true story of Genesis is the Bible, and not science. I should make a note above. Thanks sdesicio.
yo! I loved that video. I’m looking forward to seeing this movie although I don’t know if it’s releasing anywhere near me.
Must post video.
[…] a little video from the movie. Thanks to the guys over at The Plow for sharing […]
One important clarification.
Creation is not the same as Intelligent design Theory. It is a very significant distinction.
Mike, sdesocio is misunderstanding you. Aren’t you saying that, while you affirm that God created the earth and life, he may have done it through evolution, or through 6 days.
I appreciate your stance, and it is probably best. But I just don’t think evolution is true at all! It has so many holes, and it drives me INSANE the way people believe it so easily and talk about it like it’s a proven fact. and I do think it’s a stumbling block for people becoming Christians - unfortunately.
But I agree, God could’ve used it - he could do whatever he wants.
This isnt in the movie.
