Series Prediction
May 2nd, 2008
I love how churches are attracted to shiny objects. Anything that the world loves we slap God or Jesus on it, make it holy, and then we are ready to teach. So I have a prediction, in 6 months churches will be pooping themselves to do a series on the HULK. What a perfect series on anger, and a movie to boot! Here is what it will look like, get ready.

Now if you are looking at this and thinking “hmmmmm, pretty cool” STOP. This is not cool. Not one bit.

agreed.
What a cool poster! Is this the first of a series of sermon graphics you’ll be producing for local churches to use with the movie? So cool! Maybe the pastor could even come in with green face paint!
agreed… you know it’s going to happen. although, with Batman and the Iron Man or whatever it is, I could see a whole SuperHeroes series.
That is so cool! Can I use that in my next sermon series?
LOL
Seriously, you make a good point.
Man, you stole my idea! I was already working up some series graphics for that and the next Indiana Jones movie!!

yeah really. *sigh*
Ever read Tozer’s “The Old Cross and the New” ?
excerpt:
We who preach the gospel must not think of ourselves as public relations agents sent to establish good will between Christ and the world. We must not imagine ourselves commissioned to make Christ acceptable to big business, the press, the world of sports or modern education. We are not diplomats but prophets, and our message is not a compromise but an ultimatum. God offers life, but not an improved old life. The life He offers is life out of death. It stands always on the far side of the cross. Whoever would possess it must pass under the rod. He must repudiate himself and concur in God’s just sentence against him.
How we straddle the fence upsets me. It’s gotta chafe sooner or later…
[…] of Superheroes… […]
but I like the hulk idea… I was also thinking of an iron man series for guys called “Iron Man; Helping around the home and other great ideas for the stay at home hero.” Get it, I could talk about men doing house work like ironing, ha ha get it, right “Iron Man” think about it.
Ha, so lame Sean.
